U.I.L. Elementary Results

On November 6 and 7, Moulton ISD hosted a U.I.L meet for nearby schools. Many staff members spearheaded the event, including Moulton High School Principal Penny Irwin, Moulton Elementary School Principal Victoria Ortiz, Student Dean Angelica Raley, U.I.L High School Coordinator Randy Stevenson, and U.I.L. Elementary Coordinator Jackie Mitchon. Laura Kusak coordinated the hospitality room and meals for the coaches. Angela Richter helped in organizing the event. Many, many thanks to every staff member who timed, judged, monitored, tabulated, or in any other way contributed to the success of the event!

Our student performed beautifully, and the results are as follows.

Beginning with sixth grade Ready Writing, Amelia Buehring earned first place. In Maps, Graphs, and Charts, Eli Chaloupka took home first,Isaiah Chaloupka second, and Amelia Buehring fourth place. In Dictionary Skills, Eli Chaloupka took first and Amelia Buehring and Hailey Rothbaur tied for second place.

In Spelling, Amelia Buehring earned first place, Patrick Cinadr second, and Hailey Rothbauer fifth. Isaiah Chaloupka and Lorenzo Tousek took home third and fifth place, respectively, in Calculator. Lorenzo Tousek brought home first place in Listening. In Math, Eli Chaloupka earned third place, while Isaiah Chaloupka and Hailey Rothbauer earned 5th and 6th place, respectively.

In Number Sense, Isaiah Chaloupka dominated with a first place, Lorenzo Tousek earned fourth place, and Eli Chaloupka sixth place.

In Social Studies, Hudson Colburn and Patrick Cinadr secured second and sixth place, respectively. Lastly, in sixth grade, Lorenzo Tousek and Hailey Rothbauer took first and second place, respectively, in Music Memory.

Fifth grade results are as follows. Daniel Hernandez-Carrillo and Kylar Mikulencak earned fourth and fifth place in Ready Writing. Music Memory took first place as a team with Kylar Mikulencak taking first, Rena Pierce earning third, and Nicholas Simper taking sixth place.

Shelby Rothbauer secured first place in Maps, Graphs, and Charts, as well as first place in Dictionary. Victoria Simper and Clayton Hajek took third and fifth place, respectively. In Listening, Hattie Cinadr secured first place and Kylar Mikulencak took fifth.

In Oral Reading, Kylar Mikulencak earned first place, Victoria Simper second, and Rena Pierce sixth place. Victoria Simper took sixth place in Social Studies, and Shelby Rothbauer secured second place in Spelling. Last but not least, Shelby Rothbauer took second place in Number Sense, while Clayton Hajek and Zackary Brown took home third and fifth place respectively.

Fourth grade results are as follows. In Ready Writing, Kaidence Mesa took home first place, as well as sixth place in Spelling. Ayesha Obando took fourth place in Ready Writing. Addy Villegas earned fourth place in Number Sense, and Cole Mikulencak earned first place in Oral Reading. Music Memory had Ayesha Obando in second, Cole Mikulencak in third, Jacob Janak in fourth, and Kaidence Mesa in sixth.

Third grade results are as follows. Skyra Kalisek and Joyce West received fourth and fifth place respectively in Spelling. The Music Memory team took first place with Christine Balderas taking second place and Joyce West finishing third. Joyce also finished fifth in Ready Writing.

Rounding off with second graders were Beaux Porter finishing second in Creative Writing, Camila Alvarez finishing sixth in Spelling, and Madden Moore and Jordan Leadford finishing first and fifth, respectively, in Storytelling.

Again, MISD is so proud of the time and effort it took the kids, their parents, their coaches, and our staff to make the event a success!
