Rodeo Art

In December, several Moulton school students' work from grades 2 through high school were judged as finalists for Moulton ISD. Then in January, these finalists were taken to the NRG Center in Houston to be judged by the Houston Rodeo Art Committee. Their artwork has been an accumulation of creativity and hard work.

The Rodeo Art Committee awarded the following: In grades 2-5, the Best of Show Award went to Hazel Pierce and the Gold Medal Award went to Nikolle Manzano. In grades 6-8, the Best of Show Award went to Rena Pierce and the Gold Medal Award went to Hailey Rothbauer.

The high school winners were Best of Show Award went to Madison McLaughlin and Gold Medal Award went to Madison Raab.

On February 13th, Moulton Elementary hosted the Rodeo Art and UIL Award ceremony and these awards were handed out to these deserving students. Also, all rodeo artwork from the Moulton students who participated in the program were on display during the day until later in the afternoon.  The winning pieces of artwork will be on display in the Hayloft of the NRG Center on the Houston Rodeo grounds for the duration of the Houston Rodeo in March.

Thank you to everyone who helped to guide these students to create such a wonderful piece of western art!
